In the winter of 1998, infamous cult Houston death/black band Imprecation saw its demise. Core members were called to follow their callings into different genres of extreme evil, assembling Infernal Dominion. As drummer Ruben Elizondo later left to form another band, guitarists Wes Weaver and Jim Case, poised to create the most evil music ever to be heard in the south, recruited Dobber from the perverted gore fiends Viral Load. Within weeks, several blasphemous compositions were near completion. Though there were no bass player or vocalist present, they still managed to attract the attention of Texas Death Metal label Corpse Gristle Records (now known simply as TXDM Underground).
After months of exhausting try-outs and everyday drama, personal commitments forced Jim to endure a recess from the group, as bassist Chance Allen, and vocalist Mike Swearingen stepped in. In Jim's absence, the impossible task of filling his shoes was undertaken temporarily by local guitarist Steve Rios. Being a stable band finally, they vigorously hammered out 8 songs which were soon recorded in Dallas' Triple Sick Studios under the unrelenting pressure of the unforgiving southern heat. Engineered by Braxton Henry (Prophecy, Devourment) and produced by Corpse Gristle top dog Hound, Salvation Through Infinite Suffering was crafted and, after a lengthy delay, released onto the masses in June of 2001.
With their debut album, Infernal Dominion sought to not only decimate the senses of those who would listen, but to appeal intellectually and respectfully to all who question the ignorance of ancient and modern religious mythology. To their success, Salvation... has been realized by brutal death metal zealots the world over as being a true testament to the integrity of Satanic music.
Shortly before Salvation... was unleashed to the public, Jim Case was reinstated and Infernal Dominion has since been diligently arranging new songs. Stronger than ever before, they are in search of a larger label to fulfill their goal of recording their next album, The Dying Pulse of Heavenly Hopes.
