Fuck knows who vomited GOREROTTED onto the Metal Scene in i997 but when we find out they must be held responsible for the horror that has followed. Six blood soaked, drunken lunatics playing their instruments with the ferocity of a serial killer mob hacking Up their victims is one way of describing a GOREROTTED live show, to say the least! Mixing their sick, macabre, horror movie humour with speed, brutality and Goreroove, GOREROTTED are an Extreme Metal band like no other.
GOREROTTED made an impact with their own unique style of sick and twisted splatter gore grind with their debut Album 'Mutilated in Minutes'. Originally released in early 2001, it hps proved to be one of the most extreme and catchy pieces of metal the UK has produced in a long time. Summer 2002 wiil see 'Mutilated In Minutes' being re-released with new artwork (courtesy of Jake/Tales From Uranus comics) on Dead Again Records for Europe and on Relapse Records for the rest of the world. GOREROTTED's music has also been featured on the sound track of the independent horror movie "The Incredibly Strange People Show", which premiered at Planet Hollywood in London and will also feature on the upcoming independent gore/slasher movie "Mortician". GOREROTTED are now on course for the release of their much awaited second album. They are currently writing new material and have planned the release date to be early 2003. They will also be re-recording some of the 'Her Gash..." tracks for various split CD's, which are sure to quench any ones thirst for blood.
The highlight for GOREROTTED in 2001 was the European tour in May/June starting with the "Fuck The Commerce Festival" in Germany playing with the likes of Cryptopsy, Exhumed, Regurgitate and Skinless just to name a few. They then went on to Poland, Austria, Belgium and Holland spreading their sickness. Between being detained by customs officers, beating the shit out of each other, destroying the Frontline PA system and hospitalizing themselves with drunken injuries GOREROTTED blew the heads off every audience that witnessed them. The end of 2001 saw GOREROTTED playing with Impaled Nazerene at the Terrorizer Magazine Christmas show. So far in 2002 GOREROTTED have headlined the 'Hacksore' festival in Germany, the 'Soul Grinding' Festival in France and the 'Death & Grind' Festival in Holland with support from such bands as Aborted, Kadath, Fleshless, Suppository and Last Days of Humanity. GOREROTTED also played at this years OBSCENE EXTREME Festival (Czech Republic) in July 2002 as one of the main support acts to Pungent Stench. As well as that, GOREROTTED were featured in the Terrorizer Magazine 'Gore Issue' where they beat Cannibal Corpse, Mortician, Exhumed and the other usual suspects to come number 7 with 'Mutilated In Minutes' in the Gore Album Top 20 of all time, only Carcass, Death, Autopsy and Repulsion had higher ranking albums. The gore issue also featured Mr. Gore's top 10 horror films of all time.
GOREROTTED will be supporting Nile and Sinister on their UK tour in October 2002 and Pungent Stench on their UK tour in early 2003. GOREROTTED will also play as one of the headline bands at this years Ludwigshafen Deathfest (Germany). All these gigs are a great indication of what is in store for GOREROTTED in the coming year.
