REQUIEM COMES FROM EUROPE TO BLOW YOUR FUCKING HEADS AWAY WITH THEIR DEBUT CD. AS FLYER SAYS THEY PLAYS US DEATH METAL, BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THESE FLYERS, BECAUSE REQUIEM PLAYS MUSIC THAT MORE AND FAR HEAVER THAN DEATH METAL. TECHNICAL AND POWERFUL SOUND, VERY GOOD DRUMMING MEMORIABLE SONG STRUCTURES. AGAIN, DRUMS ARE BRUTAL AND MASTERFULLY PLAYED THAT ADDUCT LISTENER INTO NIRVANA. SOMETIMES SOUND IS SO HEAVER THAT IT SOUNS TO ME LIKE GRIND. ANYWAY I SURE, YOU'LL FIND GRIND ELEMENTS IN THIS CD AND ENJOY IT. FOR DEATH METAL DEATH/GRIND FANS

REQUIEM was Founded in mid-1990 by Phiiipp Klauser (Guitars), Ralph Inderbitzin (Guitars) and Roger Kradolfer (Drums). In early 1998, after a long time in search of a bass player and vocalist, Michi Kuster was added to the line-up. Soon, an initial one-hour live set was written and we played a couple oF shows. After a while, we realized that we weren't satisfied with the kind of melodic Death Metal we played back then. Time for a change! In early 1999, we replaced our old drummer Roger with Adi Fuhrer, who had already played in several Death Metal projects. After Adi joined the band, our musical direction changed towards US Death Metal. The change opened up completely new dimensions for the two guitar players, and during a six month break from playing live, we wrote a completely new live set which we presented at our first gig on the 30th of October, 1999. The Metal freaks liked the new REQUIEM style and responded with enthusiasm.

In mid January 2001, we recorded our first 5 song Mini CD called "Nameless Grave", which was released in March 2001 through Fastbeast Entertainment. After playing a lot of giqs in Europe and signing a deal with REVENGE PRODUCTIONS (D) in February 2002, we decided to record a new full-length CD, called "Formed At Birth", in June 2002. Two days before the beginning of the recording sessions our drummer Adi left us due to an injury and lack of motivation. Therefore, our new record "Formed At Birth" won't be released until the end of the year. With Reto Crola from the Swiss band PUNISH, we found a great replacement drummer, who is very motivated to play and record with us. A big THANKS to Reto for his great work and for being so quick to help us out in our situation.
