WASTEFORM "IGNORANCE THROUGH SOVEREIGNTY"

is the brainchild of vocalist Greg Kennedy and guitarist Grant Matot. It ail began in Albany New York, January 2000 as Greg's immensely successful j Hardcore juggernaut STRAIGHT JACKET was ending 7 years of life atop the new york scene and Grant himself was ending a short stint with local legends DYING BREED.
Even though both were involved with Hardcore bands, the deep love for all things brutal & extreme is what brought those two personalities together. Once the two decided to combine their talents all that was left to do was recruit the missing puzzle pieces. Steve Quade, Rocky Morey and Bill Page completed the brutal quintet. WASTEFORM began to write and play whenever and wherever an opportunity presented itself. WASTEFORM's can do attitude has helped in establishing it as one of the hardest working bands. Winning over fans in every style and scene from Punk, Hardcore to Death and Black Metal. WASTEFORM will play with anyone anywhere, which leads one to believe this has to do with their early success. Shortly after this all transpired, the band was approached by Sherwood Webber of SKINLESS fame about participating in a split CD with local powerhouse TRAUMASIDE. The fans ate it up! WASTEFORM began trading and selling these splits through out the US, succeeding in spreading the name throughout the world. At this point Rocky had to be let go due to his inability to commit full time. Kevin Carley came into the fold and instantly ignited a stagnant writing process.

Fast forward to 2002 WASTEFORM now has a deal with Albany's Own Step Up Presents Records and enough material to record there debut full legnth "Crushing The Reviled". At this point WASTEFORM is on many a radar screen for their over the top live performance. This earned the band spots on the New Jersey Metalfest, New England Metalfest and the Maryland Deathfest just to name a few. "Crushing..." received rave reviews all around the globe which eventually generated a deal with Spain's XTREEM MUSIC headed by no other than Dave Rotten of AVULSED and Repulse Records fame.
In November 2003, WASTEFORM recorded their XTREEM debut full length "Ignorance Through Sovereignty" released in late December and now looks forward to 2004.
