| Ebolie was formed in late 1998 in the Southern
suburbs of Sydney by three deranged cunts influenced by bands like Napalm Death,
Cryptopsy, Blooduster & many others. Ebolie - consisting of a vocalist,
guitarist & a drummer at the time - embarked on spreading the disease of brutal
death/grind throughout Sydney. A month into Ebolie's existence came a 6 track demo entitled "Campaign For Commercial Destruction", unleashed on society in November '98. The demo received interest from the local metal scene, so Ebolie started infecting pubs & venues with the likes of Volatile, Miscreation & Sadistik Execution. After a string of shows Ebolie went into the studio to record a one-off track entitled 'System Collapse' for the Under The Southern Cross compilation in July 1999. Ebolie's original guitarist departed from the band in late 1999, so the disease lay dormant until early 2001 when it resurfaced after recruiting a replacement. With that a new strain of Ebolie was on the loose! In June 2002 four tracks were recorded at Ebolie's home studio to be later released with the aforementioned titles on a discography in November 2002. The disease then moved into its next phase - a new bass player was added to the ranks, & the old bassist shifted onto guitar. In early 2004 Ebolie started recording for their album 'Elevation into Disintegration.' While in the process of releasing the album, Ebolie toured around Australia with Californian gore grinders Exhumed & Australia's Bludgeoner. Ebolie continued with the production for 'Elevation into Disintegration' until its release on October 30, 2004 -coinciding with its official launch at the Arncliffe Hotel. 2005 & 2006 saw Ebolie supporting major Australian tours including international bands such as Insision, Disgorge, Behemoth, Profanation as well as numerous local festivals such as Gordofest, Brute Force Fest, Metal for Skott & Unlucky 13. Ebolie are now in the process of writing material for a split album with Maximum Perversion, and are set to play Metal For the Brain in 2006. |
