THE OUTPUT OF THE SECOND ALBUM VORKREIST CONSIDERABLY FUELLED UP POWER THAT INFUSED WITH A CONFIDENCE IN THAT WE SEE THE LEADERS OF DEATH UNDERGROUND ALREADY. SONGS DID NOT LOSE SPEED, AND A TECHNICAL LEVEL GREW CONSIDERABLY, THAT DOES THE "SUBLIMATION XXIA" SOUNDING EASILY KNOWABLE. MUSIC AND VOCAL STYLE IS FULLY DEDICATED TO OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL WITH LITTLE GLEAMS OF BLACK METAL.
THEY ADDED A FRESH WIND IN DEATH/BLACK STYLE. SO OLD AND NEW FANS OF EVIL DEATH METAL ENJOY THE NEW BAND ON DARK SATANIC HORIZONS
VORKREST was born in Paris (France) in 1999 from the unholy meeting of Silmaeth (guitars), A K. (guitars) and LSK (bass), soon joined by Aseal (drums) and SohR-KhaSM (vocals).
Mixing Death Metal's brutality and bestiality to Black Metal's aggressivity and rawness, VORKREIST is delivering an uncompromising SATAN dedicated bestial Death Black Metal.
In 2000 the band released a demo tape "Sermons of Impurity" consisting of 4 hymns of hate. Although few copies were distributed, the demo received a very good response.
VORKREIST has delivered his hate on stage for gigs with various Black and Death Metal acts, such as BELPHEGOR, ANTAEUS, KAAMOS...
By the end of 2002 the band recorded a full length album entitled "Sabbathical Flesh Possession", 10 tracks of pure violence and satanic aggression, released in September 2003 on CD format under XTREEM MUSICXtreem Music (Spain).
During the whole year 2004, the band got concentrated in playing as many shows as possible as well as writing new songs for their 2nd album. In late that year, they replaced their former drummer with D. Terror and in summer 2005 they finished the recordings of their sophomore work "Sublimation xxiA" with a great production that makes them justice and will undoubtely put VORKRBST's name amongst the top Death/Black Metal acts in Europe.
