THESE SWEDEN GUYS PLAYS A EXCELLENT MIX OF EXTREME NOISE TERROR AND
NASUM WITHOUT GROWLING VOCALS (EXCEPT GUEST GROWLS), JUST ONE
VOCALIST WHO HAS CATCH A COLD. TRACKS OF BOMSTRIKE ARE FULL OF
INSANE BLAST BEATS, CRAZY RIFFS AND DEMENTED SCREAMS ... A TRUE
CRUSTCORE ALBUM ... ENOUGH TO
MAKE GRINDCOREFANS HAPPY? I THINK - YES. CD RECOMMENDED FOR
GRINDCORE / HARDCORE / PUNK FANS WORLDWIDE ...
...the story of Bombstrike starts in the fall of
97.
We were at that time living in a small village called Storfors, and
coz we are not into Volvo-cars and soccer we started to play
"music". We took the name "BASTARD FETTO" and the first line-up was:
Kraister : Vocals//Chris : Guitar//"Dirt"-Jon : Bass// Jova : Drums
We did not record anything with this line-up and in the summer of 98
we sort of split up.But a few months later when the most of us had
moved to a town called Karlskoga, we found a new drummer in Zwemp (Morder)
and started to play again. He did not want to be a member but agreed
to help us do a demo... But now we were only 3 losers in the band
but we played on with only drums and guitar... We also decided to
change our name to Bombstrike. And that line-up was: Kraister :
Vocals // Chris : Guitar// Zwemp : Drums Our first demo "...and the
silence" was recorded 990213 and it contained 4 songs + 1 cover of "Ogon"
by Hidden Industrials. That tape was sent to some labels and zines
and most of the people who got it liked it but complained about the
sound-quality. (It sucked !!!) A couple of these songs can be found
on some compilation-tapes.
After this demo Zwemp left the band coz he was tired of playing
drums. Witch was the main reason why he did not want to play in the
first place, (he has played drums about 10-15 years and has now
grown sick and tired of It, and at the moment he's singing in Morder.)
A couple of months later we found a bass player called Lasse and a
drummer called Mange. We started to practice more often and in
august we did our first gig. It was at the "Stranddagarna" festival
in Karlskoga. And how did it go??? Well... Marina,14 said: Yeah!! It
was awesome! All the bands were great, besides that band that played
first; (Bombstrike) they were just screaming!!! (shaking her head)
HAHAH !!
So at that period the line-up was: Kraister : Vocals//
Chris : Guitar// Lasse : Bass//Mange : Drums 990826 we entered the
SoundLab Studio to record our 2:nd demo "Tomorrow Hero". It contains
6 songs and some of them will also appear on compilations...
In the year of 2000 Bombstrike played some gigs in Karlskoga,
Jonkoping and Trondheim, Norway.. And 00.11.02 we recorded 15 songs
in the Avesta located "Black Lounge Studio" with Jonas Kjallgren
from Dellamorte wich was released in July 2002 by Yellow Dog
Records.
During that recording Zwemp got back in the band and is now a full-fime
member... Lasse quit the band so Mange is playing the bass instead
of drums.
After the release of the "Kaos och Djavulskap" CD/LP Yellow Dog
Records organized a 12-gig tour in Euorpe in Sep-Oct... Visited
countrys where Germany, the Czech Rep. and Holland.
2003: The Black Lounge Studio was once again booked for the
recording of a new crust-core attack and 2 gigs were played in
Finland in Feb-March. And a new member.. Fenok, from the
grind-maniacs SCURVY joined the troop to crank up the distortion on
his bass and go Cliff Burton on our sorry asses. So, the new
line-up:
Kraister : Vocals// Chris : Guitar// Mange : Guitar//Fenok : Bass//Zwemp
: Drums
During the summer of 2003 we played a few gigs around Sweden, and
some festivals...The 7" "Livets laga slocknar" was released by
Yellow Dog Records in September, and in November we returned to the
Black Lounge Studio to record our side to a split-7" with Legion 666
from Canada.
In 2004 we made another change in the line-up. Mange, the 2:nd
guitarist has been replaced by Johan (a.k.a Bosse) from
Scurvy/Repugnant/General Surgery .
Kraister : Vocals//Chris : Guitar//Bosse : Guitar//Fenok : Bass//Zwemp
: Drums During the summer of 2004 we did two tours. One in the U.K
were Zwemp, sadly, left the band coz if personal reasons. Instead,
Fenok started playing the drums... A few weeks later we headed for
Germany and Austria, this time with Bosse playing the bass.
When we got back, Bosse wanted to play guitar again so Gurra a.k.a "Loggan"
(Subvision/Repugnant) joined the band...
In 2005 Loggan quit the band since his other band, Subvision, took
to much time. But we did record 10 songs with this line up, to be
used on two split-LP's.
In the summer of 2005 we got back on the european roads again,
touring Germany, Austria, France, Holland, Belgium and The Czech
Rep. Since we prefer two guitars in the band, we brought on yet
another new member into our family. This time is was our long time
friend from "back home", Martin. (Circle A/Decontrol/Butchery)
Martin did'nt want to play the bass so he played guitar and Chris
played bass. Well, back from the tour, Bosse left... But he got back
again shorty after. Or in his own words: Bombstrike is like a
venereal disease, once you got it, you can't get rid of it, but you
learn to live with It. Right in time for the tour, Wasted Sounds and
Yellow Dog Rec. released the split-LP with Reign of Bombs. In
November 2005 we toured Finland with Murder Junkies (USA), playing 3
gigs in Finland and 1 in Aland, the island between Finland and
Sweden.
During the x-mas 2006 we entered the HELTER SKELTER studio in
Stockholm with our former bas player Loggan as the crustcore wizard,
giving us the sound of the apocalypse. This ended in 16 tracks of
Christ-denying, we prefer drugs, this is as good as it gets, soon to
be released as a CD/LP of Sthlm misery. We guess that 12-14 of the
songs will be on the album, called "BORN INTO THIS".
To be released by POWER IT UP REC. from Germany in AUGUST 2007.
European tour in August/ September
