Finally, after a few years of preparation, here we have a split
release by two Croatian grindcore bands exploring different angles
of the genre in full 79 minutes blast. Desinence Mortification from
Pula are probably the longest-lasting Croatian grindcore band after
the legendary Patareni. On their side of this CD they offer around
30 minutes of old-school grindcore, including 6 tracks from their
album from 2009, 7 tracks taken off demo from 2001, and 10 tracks
recorded live in 1995. Highly recommended for fans of early Napalm
Death, Brutal Truth, Fear Of God and Patareni. Intense and
brain-melting! Giht Shasie from Split have been making experimental
dadaistic digital grindcore from 2002 to 2005 and again from 2008 to
present. Due to frequent break-ups, the band is sometimes reffered
to as Pok. (Deceased) Giht Shasie. After their 2004 material, a few
friends of band remixed their tracks and also did a few
collaborations. Those friends are Electrocutionerdz (Canada),
Discopath, DJ Implant, Gruuthaagy, Mad Shepard and Rural & 4 (all
from Croatia). After a few mockery albums recorded in 2008, the band
reappeared to play another gig of grindcore material. In April 2009,
live tracks including old material, were recorded along with a few
new songs. In 2010, new studio tracks were finished together with a
remix by obscure Croatian electro-industrial pioneers Zidar Betonsky.
All in all, their side of CD contains over 40 minutes of raw digital
grind, evocating the most creative moments of works by Agoraphobic
Nosebleed, The Locust, Phantomsmasher or Ministry. Sick.”

The band exist since the beginning of the 1993. After the right crew
came up and after the first gig, at rock club"uljanik",12.05.1993,DESINENCE
MORTIFICATION was born as a band too. Not only as a name like it was
for few years before, given by the idea of Zlajo and Distor,who are
not in the band anymore. There was few line up changes in the band:
Mlijeko(the bleeding-rip),Shiky, Basty, Moris(pulska garez-rip,vomit
putridity-rip)and Balin played in band for some time.In the
studio"ear"in Štinjan,near Pula,5.2.1994,band recorded first demo
material.The demo contains 8 songs, with 2 covers of Fear of god,
and 1 of Patareni.the demo was released under the name "demo'94",for
the "black haze tapes"from Holland(c/o Dennis(are you alive?)Ippel,
pachter 67,3834 ccLeusden, Nl).the line up
was;Zlajo,Shiky,Distor,Basti,and Rio.The band appeared on lots of
compilations, but the most important is the Patareni-obrade vinyl lp
with bands such as Rot,Scrawl,Cripple bastards,,Hladno pivo,
Strelnikoff, Ruido de odio,Fear of dog,and others. Desinence
mortification appeared with the cover of the song"f*ck you all”,
taken from the "demo'94".25.2.1996 band recorded in the same studio
the second demo material. It consists of 5 songs,released on the
7inch vinyl as a split with Excreted alive from Spain(c/o Manuel
Ortiz Campos,c/argantonio 6,1;d,41008,Sevilla,Spain).The single was
released on "abnormal beer terrorism"label(c/o Matjaz
Galicic,Trilerjeva 4,1215 Medvode,Slovenia).The line up on this
record was;Zlajo,Distor,Rio and Moris. During the October of
1997,the band entered the same studio again and recorded 3rd demo,
with 13 songs. Few months later, that material was released on the
split tape with Spiridon Mekas Crust, friends from Pula. The label
of this split tape was "monte paradiso"(both c/o http://netlabel,monteparadiso.org),from
pula too. the line up was:Zlajo,Distor,Balin&Rio. In the"ja sam
glup"(i'm stupid,now"ja sam gluh"-i'm deaf)studio (c/o Jule-
bolesnogrinje@email.t-com.hr),the band recorded their 4th demo in
February of 2002.Jule is responsible for lots of important
productions in the Croatian underground(also Anti-otpad,Bolesno
grinje,Eluj,Barrakuda,Pasmaters,Vomit Putridity,Deepc++, K-15,Trijo
Porkodio,Sodn Dan,Screaming vagina,Heinousity..).the line up on this
record was;Rajko,Distor,Rio & Vedran.this material is still
unreleased due to many misunderstandings with people who told that
would release it. The demo contains 8 songs. The band played on lots
of gigs and festivals with domestic and foreign bands such
as:Extreme Noise Terror,Soils of fate,Vader,Nile,Cryptopsy,
Sanatorium,Akinetonik,Bolesno grinje,Mercenary Cockroach,Dislike and
many others… After a few years break,the band continued to work in
2005 with a new line up:Vedran,Hoc,Matija,Rio and Rajko...
Spring 2008,the band entered a "ja sam gluh" studio once again,and
recorded a full length album...finally...but with Rajko only as a
guest on few tracks,cause he decided to left the band,so Rio had to
do the main and backing vocals...
This,"15 years of grind sacrifice" album,is reachable with orderings

GIHT SHASIE started at the end of 2002, and at the time our only
idea was to make old school hardcore techno band like Atari Teenage
Riot or something like that. we were also listening to other
interesting bands that had raw recordings, and brutal attitude like
Agoraphobic Nosebleed / The Locust / Melt Banana / Gore Beyond
Necropsy as much as avantgarde music / japanese and other harsh
noise artists, and usual hardcore/metal/punk/sludge/extreme stuff...
we wanted to write emotional, but engaged lyrics and we wanted to
put out the anger that was in our hearts and heads. that anger
included hate against drummers, so we choosed to share our
friendship with Fruity Loops, instead of loosing lot of energy and
enthusiasm looking for the cool drummer. two people noise unit was
great idea, cause many more ideas could be explored thru it, than
thru "normal" band with four or five band members. so we changed few
ideas about the sound and instruments before the first gig we ever
played [as an technical result], and at the end of this were
distorted bass, synth, beats from discman, and 2 grinding and
screaming vocals. our texts [in croatian most of the time] included
more gore and hate thematics, than straight social engaged stuff
from the beginning. we decided to shock people with our
attitude/stupidity/black humour. about the name, giht is sickness
that older male people often get, including problems with fat in the
bones, and shasia is part of the car, these two were just two
stupidest and ugliest words in croatian we could think of at the
time. we like it. our sound is now mixture of grind, techno,
hardcore, and sometimes drum n' bass. we want to play every kind of
music and we want to make people sick, "punks" with free jazz and
harsh noise stuff and "artists" with fast and screaming grindcore,
"skaters" with techno and dn'b, and so on. now we are listening lots
of sludge and lo-fi grindcore stuff and things like that, but we
think our sound is very much of our own, distorted and ugly as much
as we want. during 2004., as an result of constant smoking pot and
drinking with our friend, we decided to expand our line up, and now
we have guitar / bass / synth / computer and 3 vocals, total 3
members. also, in our hometown we turned GIHT SHASIE into local
mockery and drunk/stoned way of having fun. so it's not only about
musick. it's about being critical on everything and using both
intelligence and stupidity to produce great noise and have fun with
everything. if you think that you have some reason to communicate
with us just write. we are always looking for
traders/friends/supporters/labels and other underground sh*t.
