ONCE UPON THE TIME FANGORN WAS PLAYED DEATH METAL WITH MALE GROWLS AND FEMALE VOCALS. WHEN THEY LOST THE GROWLS ( CHANGED TO BLACK METAL SCREAMS) THEY - LOST ME. AND NOW THE'RE SOMETHING BETWEEN BLACK / GOTHIC/ THRASH... SOMETHING LIKE CREMATORY( GER) MEETS BLACK METAL. THIS "EVOLUTION" WILL BRING MORE MONEY$ FOR THE BAND - BUT BAND LOST OLD FANS.   PROMOTERS WILL SAY THAT THIS IS A "MASTERPIECE" BUT I INSURE YOU THAT FANGORN'S SOUND  IS NOT FOR DEATH/ GRIND FANS ( EVER NOT FOR DEATH /DOOM FANS) SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY. THERE ARE BETTER CDS IN OUR LIFE
Fangorn was formed in the end of the year 1994 in Dresden/Germany. The first arranged structures were created immediately and in the year 1996 was the demotape "Raindancer" released. A. lot of good and bad things followed and the hand started taking their first steps on stage, which -were absolved with increasing success.

With act I've support by the German Underground Crossection label Fangorn could release their debut-CD "Non-Rhapsodian" in January 1998. The prevailing positive reactions by fans, press and broadcast confirmed the band on their musical way to this day. After intensive practising Fangorn spellbound their second CD
"Pentatonische Furien" on sound carrier in 1999. After massive changes of instrumentation the band started to write new songs in a little bit changed style.
In October 2001 Fangorn entered the DIgIdIrt Studio in Dresden and after some -weeks of extensive work in the studio, the band is mow able to release the third album "Fangorn". The result came out in the shape of a 11 track masterpiece. Characteristic for the music are catchy melodies, the rotation between male growls and female vocs and a lot of musical influences. Interesting structures between music AND vocals give Fangorns Death Metal a unique touch.
