"... FROM ITALY WITH SWEDISH HATE..."
ALWAYS, THERE IS A FEW GOOD BANDS WHO LOOKING IN THE PAST TO DIG SOMETHING NEW. HORRID IS ONE OF THEM. USING A SLEDGEHAMMERS THEY DIG UP SOMETHING NEW ON THE ASHES OF OLD REALM NAMED OLD SCHOOL SWEDISH DEATH METAL. AS A SAID THERE IS A FEW GOOD BANDS WHO REINCARNATED OLD SOUND WITH NEW RECORDING TECHNOLOGY AND BAND'S TRUE WORSHIP TO THE ROOT OF DEATH METAL. HORRID TRYING TO ADD MANY OWN IDEAS AND INCREASE SPEED LIMITS AND THIS ALL LEADING TO VERY GOOD PRO WORK. A TOTAL SWEDISH DEATH METAL WORSHIP DILUTED WITH PROFESSIONAL WORK.
I CAN ONLY SAY: "FROM ITALY WITH SWEDISH HATE"

The seed of HORRID was sown back in 1989. The band was founded two original members who are still Max (Bass) and Belfagor (Guitar). Their first I old School Swedish Death Metal drummer (Istrice) left after 2 months, after wich two other drummers were replaced, Draughar (1994) and Mick (1996) James joined the band in 1990 and was assigned to  voice.
The four members then produced a first demo tape entitled "Eternal Suffering" (Hellhammer influeces) they gradually evolved their sound into an interesting "Swedish" oriented sound until a year after "Eternal Suffering" in 1993 they produced a powerful and much faster demo named "You Ere Mine". In this period Morris helped the band on vocals. Then Robert (guitar) joined the four boys to finally complete the band with a much fuller sound specially live.
In 1995 HORRID recorded "Awaiting For The Truth" 7"EP on Cryptic Soul prod, after one more self distributed "Promo '97", the new and definitve drummer Matt joined the band and with a deal signed with Italian label Behind the Mask Prod, they flew to Stockholm (Sweden) and recorded a 4 tracks of heavy and melodic Death Metal resulting on their MCD "Blasphemic Creatures". With the godly help of Tomas Skogsberg HORRID produced a first class four track release. Many positive reviews about MCD arrived from everywhere in the world.
In the beginning of 1999 James left the band and Robert, already guitarist, joined also on vocals. In july 2000 the band signed a new deal with french label Deadsun Recs and at the end of 2000 Robert left the guitar only to concentrate on his voice and the new guitarist Alex joined the band in January 2001. HORRID recorded at Sunlight studio with Tomas Skogsberg during April and June 2001 "Reborn In Sin" their debut full lentgh album with 7 tracks of sad, obscure, more fast old swe-Death! In February 2002 Alex left the band so HORRID decided to continue in 4 elements.
XTREEM MUSICOctober 2004 was the time to record the band's 2nd full length album entitled "Rising From The Hidden Spheres" and for that they travelled to Denmark to meet Anders Lundemark (KONKHRA/DAEMON) who engineered, mixed and produced 8 songs at the Startstruck Studios. This alsbum was supposed to come out again on Deadsun Recs, but after some dissagreements with the label, the band opted to look for another deal and this one was found on Spanish label XTREEM MUSIC who agreeded on the release of "Rising From The Hidden Spheres" in March 2006.
